How to calculate GIMS aggregate: worked example
Here’s how the BS programmes formula works for a student with 1020/1100 in Matric, 980/1100 in Inter and 70/100 in Arid / GIMS entry test:
- Matric: 1020 ÷ 1100 = 92.73% × 10% = 9.27
- Inter: 980 ÷ 1100 = 89.09% × 40% = 35.64
- Arid / GIMS entry test: 70 ÷ 100 = 70% × 50% = 35
Aggregate = 79.91%
