In short: Merit Calculator doesn’t ask for your name, email or phone number, has no accounts, ads or tracking, and keeps the marks you enter only on your own device.
This policy explains how Merit Calculator (“the app”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the website at meritkitni.pages.dev, the web app, or the Android app (APK).
1. Information you enter
To calculate your aggregate, you enter marks such as Matric, Intermediate and entry test scores, choose universities, and may turn on options like Hafiz-e-Quran. This information is:
- stored only on your device, using your browser’s or app’s local storage, so you don’t have to type it again;
- never sent to us or to any server we control;
- deleted when you tap “Clear all my marks” in the app, clear your browser data, or uninstall the app.
2. Information we don’t collect
We don’t collect your name, email address, phone number, CNIC, location, contacts, photos or any other personal information. There are no user accounts, no advertising, no analytics tools and no tracking cookies in the app.
3. Third-party services
A few trusted services are needed to deliver the app. When your device connects to them, they may process technical information such as your IP address, device type and browser type under their own privacy policies:
- Cloudflare Pages hosts the website and web app, and may keep standard server and security logs.
- GitHub hosts the Android APK file you download.
- Google Fonts provides the fonts used on the website and in the app.
We don’t sell, rent or share any information with anyone.
4. Android app permissions
The Android app uses internet access only to load fonts. It doesn’t request access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, files or SMS.
5. Children and students
Many users are students, including those under 18. Because the app doesn’t collect personal information, it can be used safely by students of any age. Parents or guardians can clear saved marks at any time from the app’s settings.
6. Security
The website is served over secure HTTPS. Since your marks stay on your device, keep your device protected with a screen lock if you share it with others.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app changes. The new version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
